Jon and Teresa Demeter

During Teresa's freshman year at the University of Arizona, one of her softball teammates invited her to an Athletes in Action meeting.  It was at this meeting that she heard the gospel presented for the first time.  It was not much later that she surrendered her life to Christ

Through the experience of AIA's summer camps, Jon was exposed to full-time ministry while
completing an internship.  He began to feel the Lord calling him to serve with Athletes in Action on a full-time basis.

Jon and Teresa met and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona.

Jon graduated from the University of Arizona in 2001 with a BS in Fine Arts.  He was a practice
player for the women's basketball for one year, and was a manager for the remaining two years of his college career.

Teresa graduated from the University of Arizona in 2002 with a BS in Family Studies and Human Development.  She was a pitcher on the softball team all four years.

Jon and Teresa trained for two years at the University of Dayton.  They have been back serving as the Campus Directors at The University of Arizona since 2005.  Jon is currently the Ultimate Training Camp Director.
