Summer Opps
Every summer Athletes in Action provides summer opportunities to help strengthen athletes mentally, physically and spiritually. From a one week training camp in Colorado, to a five week long project in East Asia, AIA has a multitude of opportunities that will challenge the student athlete. Here are some of those opportunities:
The Ultimate Training Camp
Attend one of the AIA Ultimate Training Camps for a one-week adventure that will challenge you mentally, physically, and spiritually. At AIA's camp for collegiate athletes, you will hear directly from God's Word. Glean biblical perspective on such topics as motivation, attitude, persevering through tough times, and winning and losing. Develop leadership qualities that will be of value in your life and competitive play.
The Urban Project - LA
Join more than 50 other student athletes from around the country who’ll gather in Los Angeles for three weeks to learn how to meet the needs of the urban poor and use sport as a tool for blessing!
Learn about God’s heart for the poor:
“...he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed...” - Jesus
The Colorado Project
The AIA Colorado Project is 8 weeks that will change your life. You will live in authentic Christian community with 40 other Christian athletes, sharing experiences that are new and challenging, building relationships that last a lifetime, and learning ministry skills that will prepare you for a lifetime of ministry.
East Asia Project
Travel to East Asia to share the life changing message of the gospel while experiencing the culture. Join us in helping to build a young ministry into a movement at a Sports University in a city of 15 million. On this campus are tomorrow’s Olympians, coaches, trainers, exercise scientists, sports journalists, and other sports professionals in marketing and management. This campus sent students to compete in the past several Olympic games.
Sports Teams
Use your athletic skills to not only compete but to share the love of Jesus Christ. Athletes in Action fields national and international teams in several sports. Athletes and coaches become equipped in how to minister through their sport. Athletes and coaches are not only trained to do ministry, they also have excellent opportunities to play their sport. Competing locally and internationally, AIA sports teams combine a passion for God and athletic excellence into one unique effort.
